High River has an active Scout Group, who are fortunate to have the best of many geographical areas in which to hike and explore. We are but a mere 1 hour from the Kananaskis ( pronounced Can- an- ask- iss) and Rocky mountain ranges and Valley, and Prairie river valleys like the Milk river, where one might discover rattle snakes and Hoo-Doos (Rock formations).
Using toboggans, skiis and just plain old leg power we hiked 5 km into our camp under the light of a full moon. Could anything have been more perfect?
